Fast enough?

Can my streamyx be as fast as this one?

3282.1 KB/s = 3.2821 MB/s……..whoa!!!

Well, this is only the speed i can get when I’m using internet at certain place that equipped with Internet facilities may provided by Streamyx.

I hope one day all house can manage to have this level of speed.

Why?

Rapid development of technology will leave us behind if we still get the service that always taking too many cost to upgrade.

Maybe for now it is not very important to have that kind of Internet connection. But who knows in next 10 years?

But for now let me enjoy this while I can..hehe…sorry bos…=)

Factors that might effect your connection:

• your modem. Get a new modem, better one..because the old RIGER (BLUE color) come with the package always is a problem to subscriber.
• your cable, CAT 5e (category 5) is mostly used now…but how about try to change with CAT 6 (category 6), better medium for gigabit LAN.
• your adapter (the one you plug your cable into), let see… are you using 10/100 MBps ethernet adapter? did you know there are gigabit LAN which support 1000 MBps = 1 GBps connection. If you has extra budget, maybe you can replace it for a better one.
• your operating system(OS). By default, there are certain bandwidth preserved by your OS, try to GOOGLing it and see how…

These are only tips I got from experience and asking people. Besides all above, there are more other way to help you utilize your machine.

No need to be geek to tweak. There are a lot of forums and tutorials that could help you to solve a problem.

I just solve (maybe) mine by get a new modem. I hope it will work for me…^-^
